Polio

Polio or poliomyelitis is a highly contagious virus that attacks the brain and nervous system. Children younger than 5 years old are more likely to catch this virus and more than two hundred thousand children have been affected by this disease. There are tree types of polio: sub-clinical, non-paralytic and paralytic. About 95% of the people who catch polio have sub clinical polio and many of these cases do not have symptoms.
